Frank “Mirror Man” Mirahmadi funniest race caller EVER!
March 8, 2010 by Ryan · Leave a Comment
Fans of TVG are very familiar with Frank Mirahmadi. He is an excellent handicapper and commentator for the network. Frank’s first and most important job however is that of a race caller. He does great impressions and commonly breaks them out during the races. Some of his best impressions are of Rodney Dangerfield, and Andy Rooney. If you haven’t heard Frank call a race before then I highly recommend watching the above video. You will be glad you did.
Auction Mystery

Here is a story over at Blood Horse that I found interesting: Saratoga Strange: Filly’s Buyer Flees.
Apparently a drunk man entered the front row of the Fasig Tipton Sale, bid on a horse, and quickly fled. Obviously this guy was penniless. My question is how did he get in the place if he was dressed poorly? There was also a man wearing a sleeveless shirt sitting next to him. I’ve never been to an auction, but I figured it would be the type of place that you have to wear a suit to get in.

Funny Horse Race Call

This is one of the funniest race calls I have ever seen. There is some R rated language so I’d say this one isn’t safe for work. I hope you enjoy it!
How Did He Stay On?!

The bettors who bet that horse to place or needed him for exactas and trifectas were extremely lucky! This is a one in a million occurence, I’ve never seen anything like it before. This happened on Febuary 3, 1989 at Golden Gate Fields. The jockey is Nate Hubbard. Enjoy the video!
Irish Oaks

Check out the move by jockey Jimmy Spencer in the Irish Oaks. The winner is a daughter of Pivotal named Sariska. Saying she was full of run is a bit of an understatement. He just gallops past the leader who is all out, and even waves at the other filly’s jockey! That reminds me of something Calvin Borel might do. Pardon the french audio, but the clip is definitely worth watching.
