Path to the HRP’s Kentucky Derby wide open

**HorseRacingPark is the premier virtual horse racing game on the internet. It features real races like the $5,000 Breeders’ Cup Classic where you compete for real cash. The top owner for 2011, Dynark Stables, has taken down $25,324.36 in purses this year. Click here to learn more about the game and how you can get five free horses just for signing up!**

Just like the real life Kentucky Derby, the Kentucky Derby at HorseRacingPark is a highly coveted prize. The winner will rake in great stud fees for years to come and take home big purse money. The winner of this year’s Kentucky Derby will also have a shot at the $40k bonus for winning the Triple Crown. Nobody has done it so far in nine previous editions of the online horse race, but this could finally be the year someone takes home the big check.

Diablo Diablo’s colt Copper Bottom has to be considered the top contender after annexing the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile at odds of just under 9-1. Copper Bottom is a home-bred that cost $9 to create and is by the owner’s Florida Derby winning sire Laffin Policeman. He also owns a win in the Grey Stakes and was third in the Del Mar Futurity. His career earnings stand at $1,480.66 from seven races.

Skeleton Key who races in the silks of owner Pan Farms after being sold at auction for $135.36 by owner Ken Allan is another key contender. He took the Futurity at Keeneland in his first start for Pan, bringing home a $240 check. After that he won the $1,000 Delta Jackpot, getting the $600 winner’s share of the purse. Clearly, this was a wonderful purchase for the new owner.

The filly Vouvray is undefeated from five starts. Her last effort was a win in the  Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies. She also won the Spinaway and Alcibiades Stakes. The sky seems to be the limit for her thus far in her young career. A filly has never won the Run for the Roses at HorseRacingPark, but Mrs Bombastic won the Preakness in 2010 so anything is possible. Vouvray has earnings of $1,704.33.

If you haven’t done so yet, I highly encourage checking the game out. It has something for everyone. Check out our Horse Racing Games page to learn more and find out how you can get five free horses when joining through this site!

Virtual Horse Racing auction at HRP is coming soon

For more information about HorseRacingPark, check out our Horse Racing Games page.

There is nothing quite like owning a race horse. Watching your filly run down the stretch to grab victory in the final yards of a race is a thrilling experience. Unfortunately, cost is a prohibitive factor for many people that want to won a racehorse, myself included.

That’s why I love the online horse racing game, HorseRacingPark. The game is a state of the art SIM where you can buy, sell, train, breed, and race for big purse money in actual races like the Kentucky Derby and Breeders Cup Classic. The game offers a free side where players can race at Mountaineer while they learn how to play.

One of the best ways to build a stable is through the auction and via claiming races. The fourth quarter auction is quickly approaching and will begin on 12/1. In honor of the auction, let’s take a look at some of the best buys of 2011.

Bluegrass Cat (not to be confused with the REAL Bluegrass Cat) was purchased in the summer auction for $227.88 from Ken Allan by new owner Kopites. His first race for the new connections was a sharp second place finish in the Eddie Read Stakes.

He broke through with his biggest lifetime victory last week by pulling a 16-1 upset in the Breeders Cup Mile. The triumph earned his owner a check for $1,200. The five-year-old gelding still has plenty of run left in his virtual legs so Kopites can look forward to another big payday sometime soon. The chart for the race is available above.

One of the better claims of the year was made by Ken Allan, the owner that lost Bluegrass Cat in the auction. He grabbed the two-year-old Grand Solar for $60 when he won a claiming event at Woodbine.

After that Grand Solar earned the lions share of a $130 purse by winning the Grade 3 Pilgrim Stakes. His last start, the $1,000 Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf, saw him come flying to just miss by a neck. Not bad for a horse that was racing for a tag less than two months ago!

Yahudi Stables filly Poolside Ec has had one of the best years of anyone in racing. She was taken for $50 to end 2010 and her 2011 campaign has been simply unbelievable. She’s earned $1,421.40 in purse money while annexing Grade 1 races like the Pacific Classic and Lady’s Secret. She’s going to make one heck of a broodmare when she her racing career is finished. Don’t expect that to be anytime soon though!

Third Quarter Auction has arrived at virtual racing game HorseRacingPark

If you haven’t noticed yet, we are a big fan of the virtual horse racing game, HorseRacingPark. The game is very, very realistic and matches real life horse racing to a tee. This post will focus on a few of the horses entered in the 2011 Third Quarter Auction. Check out our Horse Racing Games page for a more general review of HRP.

The first auction entry I noticed was A Little Oblivion. The four-year-old filly is riding a three race win streak and has won four of five this year. Some of her 2011 wins include the Just A Game and Diana, both Grade 1 events. Her last win was in the Diana where she helped pick up a $300 check for her owner. So far, she has earned $774 this year. Her potential for the race of 2011 is very high as she is a leading candidate for the $2,000 Breeders Cup Filly & Mare Turf in November. She is working lights out and shows no sign of slowing down.  Owner Night Mare Racing has her entered for a price of $750. That sounds like a lot, but could end up being a bargain. The hammer will drop on her in 21 days. Check out her PPs above.

Here is another fine looking filly, the three year old, Simply Excellent. She won the Virginia Oaks two races back earning owner Ken Allan $90 and was second beat just a head in the Alabama last out. That earned her $100. Her career earnings stand at $366.86. They will almost certainly double or triple soon as it appears she is only beginning to do her best running. I am considering purchasing her myself. Bidding will start at $200 and she sells in 16 days. Her PPs are available above.

Head on over to HRP to check out the auction for yourself. New players signing up through this site will get 5 free horses instead of 2. You can start playing for free.

How to buy a horse at HorseRacingPark

HorseRacingPark is the best virtual horse racing game on the internet. I’ve played the game since 2006. For more general information about the game, click here.

Buying a horse at HRP is very simple and easy. Let’s take a step by step look!

1) First click the “Purchase Horse” button as illustrated in the picture. Clicking the thumbnails will make the pictures larger and easier to view.

2) After that you will reach the selection screen. Here several rules and options are laid. These can all be viewed in the picture below. In a nut shell this page asks if you want a colt or filly, what its name will be and whether or not you will nominate it to the Breeders Cup. Doing so gives the horse free entry to all Breeders Cup races as well as earning the breeder a bonus when a horse hits the board or wins in a Breeders Cup sponsored event.

3) Next you will be sent to a list of all of your horses and a new one named “Hiptag” along with a bunch of numbers will be at the top. View the picture for more information.

4) As you can see I chose to make a three-year-old filly. Two-year-olds are also available. Owners may also breed yearlings and two-year-olds with horses they already own. My new filly is a daughter of leading Italian sire, Navarro. Random sires include Storm Cat, Secretariat, Seattle Slew, Northern Dancer and many, many others. One of my favorite horses is a son of the great mare Bayakoa.

5) The next thing to do after making a horse is to give it a workout. I usually like to work my new horses five furlongs.

So there you have it, your very own racehorse at HorseRacingPark! Sign up through the link in this post for an exclusive offer of 5 free horses. This is much better than the two you would get otherwise so don’t miss out!

Soldier of Liberty wins the Preakness Stakes at online horse racing game HRP

One of the best horseman I know is Matt at Dynark Stables. Virtual horseman, that is.

Dynark Stables has earned $66,052.53 and won 1,243 races since its inception in 2006. The stable has won 13 meet titles, 5 Breeders Cup races, a massive 23 Grade 1, 27 Grade 2 and 39 Grade races. The only thing missing was a victory in a Triple Crown race.

That changed this past Saturday when their $350 auction purchase Soldier of Liberty annexed the Preakness Stakes and the $600 winners share of the purse. Two races back he took earned $450 for winning the Bluegrass Stakes. Great job, Dynark Stables!

Other successful horses include $54 purchase Guided By Angels who went on to take Delaware Handicap, Personal Ensign and Beldame. Bay Bound was purchased for $85 before her debut and has put together wins in three Grade 1 races including the Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies.

The most successful purchase for this stable was $185 purchase Obvious Intention. With some great training and hard work they were able to get 4 graded wins out of him including the Pacific Classic and Breeders Cup Classic. He ended his career with $5,004.22 in earnings.

Horse racing is an expensive sport and most of us can’t afford to own real horses, but HorseRacingPark is the next best thing. Horses can be purchased for $8 via breeding or automatically generated for $10. The quality of the horses is completely random through the AG service so you might get a Beulah claimer,or the next Secretariat! Purses are just like real life, but on a 1: 1,000 scale. Therefore, the $2,000,000 Kentucky Derby is the $2,000 Kentucky Derby.

Click the banner above or any of the links on this page to check out HRP. While the game does have a pay side where you can race for real money, there is also a free side. Signing up through this site will get you FIVE free horses. That is more than anywhere else. What are you waiting for?

Horseracingpark.com is the best horse racing game on the net

I’ve been racing horses at HorseRacingPark for over 2.5 years now. I’m a small time owner. I race mostly in claimers and allowances. My horses find their way into stakes company rarely, but they have a big shot when they do. My winning percentage of 15.4% at pay tracks is pretty good by most standards. I’d willing to say that Horseracingpark.com is the best horse racing game on the internet, and if you haven’t checked it out yet you are truly missing out.

HorseRacingPark, or HRP for short, has everything related to horse racing that  you can imagine. Horses can be purchased through claimers, auctions, breeding, and can be automatically generated. Full pedigree analysis is listed for every horse, along with conformation statistics. Players have full control over every aspect of their horses career. They get to train the horse, decide if he needs something like blinkers or lasix, and are left to decide in which race their horse will compete.

Players can race for free at Mountaineer, or try their hand at the pay tracks. The pay tracks include nearly every track in the United States such as Del Mar, Belmont Park, Churchill Downs, Keeneland, and many more. There are also U.S. jockeys in the game like Rafael Bejarano and Garrett Gomez. Just about any jockey you will find in real life is also in virtual form at HRP.

Nearly every stakes race that happens in reality also happens at HRP, but on a 1:1000 scale. The $5,000,000 Breeders Cup Classic is the $5,000 Breeders Cup Classic at HorseRacingPark. The Triple Crown hasn’t been won yet, and the first trainer to take all three races will get $30,000.  Purses go as low at $1, and horses can be claimed at prices ranging from $1 to $120.

Other features at HRP include the weekly handicapping contest, in which players can wager on the races being contested each day. The top two finishers get to compete in the end of year contest for $500, and free horse vouchers.  They also have Pick ‘Em contests from time to time where the winner is awarded free horse vouchers.

Breeding is one of the best parts of HRP. There is no feeling like winning a race with a homebred. There are plenty of options for breeding. You can use your own sire and mare, or you can pay a stud fee and use your own mare or lease a mare from someone else. Sires can be found in the price range of $1-50 in most cases, and the best mares go from anywhere to $50-100 per foal. Breeding at HRP is just like in real life. Breed the best to the best and hope for the best.

When players breed horses they have the option of starting the horse as a yearling or a two-year-old. There are many owners who are in the game strictly for breeding. They breed horses for the sake of selling them in the auctions. This can be very profitable if you are able to get a horse that is quick early on or has a great pedigree and conformation.

The auction is one of the best parts of the game. It runs four times each year, and allows owners to buy/sell horses for small and big money. I’ve seen horses sell for under $10 that went to be a Grade 1 winners, and horses that sold for over $1,000 only to bust.

I have had a lot of success with the auctions, with total sales in excess of $1,000 (my investment was much smaller). The horses I’ve sold haven’t really gone on to do much (knock on wood) so I don’t really regret selling any of them. Perhaps the worst was Daiwa Major, who won the Grade 2 Fountain of Youth after I sold him. I didn’t really mind that though because a friend owned him and I got a decent price at $250.

Some of the biggest sales in recent memory at HorseRacingPark are $1,000 Grade 2 Pennsylvania Derby winner Whats Up. He sold for around $1,500 after burning up the track in an allowance en route to a track record breaking win. The owner that sold him claimed Whats Up for just $7. Not a bad return on investment! Another big sale was Breeders Cup Turf winner Siberian Rhythm. He sold for $2,555 after his big Breeders Cup win.

I’ve had a couple of good horses in my time at HRP. The best was a two-year-old colt named Entourage. He broke his maiden first time out at Golden Gate, and then ran respectably in an allowance. He was training very well and I had a feeling he was sitting on a big race, so I entered him in the $122.50 Grade 3 Kentucky Cup Juvenile at Turfway Park. He was a longshot, but he got up to win the race by a neck. Always one to make a profit, I sold him in the next auction for a hefty sum of $351. He didn’t really pan out on the track as a three-year-old, but is currently standing at stud in California. He has a great conformation and pedigree so he may see some success as a sire.

Other horses I’ve had include a four-year-old named Angry Again. He ran very well for me, winning two races in a row by a combined 10 lengths before losing by a nose to eventual Arlington Million victor Eviction Notice. I ended up selling Angry Again for $301. He didn’t do much on the track after I sold him, but he looks to be a future star at stud. He has sired a Grade 2 winning filly in his first crop. My best horse at the moment is a filly named Chopped N Screwed. She broke her maiden against maiden claimers at Golden Gate by 11 lengths and has quickly progressed. She won an allowance at Del Mar in her last start. I think with a bit of luck she could become a stakes winner.

I highly recommend giving HRP a chance. You won’t find a better or more realistic horse racing game anywhere on the internet. It is great for those of us who have always dreamed of owning horses but cant really afford the real thing. It is the best alternative you will find.  Gradedstakes.com visitors will get a special offer of 5 free horses by signing up through one of the many links on this page, or by clicking the banner below. Good luck and I’ll see you at the races!
